Kincheloe, Elsie Thompson
July 28, 1932 to November 30, 2018
Passed on at the age of 86 due to complications related to a long battle with Alzheimer’s. She is survived by her two loving daughters Fran March and Julia Jones, her granddaughter Krystina Jones, her two son in laws Woody March and Don Jones. She is predeceased by her husband and father to her children, James (Jim) D. Kincheloe and her second husband John L. Helena. She is also predeceased by her five brothers and six sisters.
Her parents were very loving, as she was the baby of the family and the apple of her mother Fannie’s eye. Her father Isaac Thompson was reported to be a coal miner, Sheriff and a moonshiner in the hills of Kentucky, where Elsie grew up. Her varied early life prepared her for a marriage full of love and laughs with the love of her life Jim Kincheloe. They met at church in Louisville Kentucky – he was in uniform and she was in the choir. They moved to Florida in the 70’s. Elsie and Jim raised two children, owned businesses, traveled, and never had a dull moment in 30 years; ended only by Jim’s passing at age 51. Later, she met her second husband, who was a supportive partner for many years until his death approximately six years ago.
She continued to live in Apopka for a few more years with her daughter Julia’s oversight. When her well-being started to further decline, she relocated to the Villages where her other daughter Fran, who was no longer working, devoted herself to her care as Elsie’s health gradually worsened. As she passed to our Lord, Elise was accompanied by her two daughters by her side, sharing expressions of love to her as she passed.
The immediate family will be holding a private graveside ceremony in the morning on December 4th at Highland Memory Gardens & Funeral Home. For those that have an interest in honoring her memory, a donation to the Alzheimer’s Association would be an appreciated tribute.

We were sad to learn of Elsie's death.
I have fond memories of Elsie ( and Jim ) as I was growing up. I remember them as always upbeat and positive and willing to help others. I especially remember working at their printing company one summer and learning how a business works. I learned just how good Elsie was at running the company while uncle Jim was out selling. To me she was a truly unique person and very special.
Kat and I both are thinking of you, Fran and Julie, during this difficult time.
