Virginia E “Ginny” McNary, 96 of Apopka died on 9-13-18. She was born in Guntersville,
Alabama on 9-8-22. She met her husband William F. McNary while they were both at Fort
McClellen, Alabama during WWII. After the war they married in 1945 and had one son,
William Ron McNary. They moved to Orlando in 1950 and Ginny became active as a PTA
president, a Pink Lady, and an instructor for the American Red Cross. She later became
the general manager for TAS (telephone answering service) and managed four local offices.
In retirement years she and Bill lived on their mini-farm in the Clarcona area and raised
horses and enjoyed time with their granddaughters. Ginny is preceded in death by her
husband Bill and her two brothers Robert and William of Guntersville, Alabama.
She is survived by her son Ron and wife Lamonda of Longwood; grandaughters Betsy and
(husband) Steve Davis of Casselberry, FL; Sarah and (husband) James Bailey of California, Md.
and great grandchildren Hannah Bailey and Tyler Davis.
A Celebration of LIfe memorial service will be held on Saturday, Sept 22, at 10:30 AM at
Bear Lake United Methodist Church, 1010 Bear Lake Rd, Apopka, Fl. 32703
In lieu of flowers please send donations to the Boy Scout troop at the church.
