I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.
2 Timothy 4:7
Sandra Ellen Pelaquin, age 37, of Orlando, passed away on Sunday July 1, 2018 peacefully in her sleep at home from complications of a lifelong kidney disease. She spent her whole life in Orlando, attending Pine Castle Elementary School, Walker Middle School and Oak Ridge High School. She was a wonderful daughter, mother, sister, niece, cousin and friend. Her determination to be there for her children through her illness inspired many others. She loved her family and friends and always had a smile to share.
Sandy is survived by her son, Torrance; daughter, Tyana; mother, Debbie Moser; stepfather, Scott Moser; Father, Russell Pelaquin; second mom, Suzi Pelaquin; sister, Christina Ganley; brother-in-law, Joe Ganley; nephew, Jackson Ganley; niece, Anna Ganley; brother, Neil Lachowicz; and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. She was welcomed to heaven by her Lord and Savior, her grandparents, and other family and friends that have gone before her.
Sandy’s wish for you would be, “Spend time with your children, eat Old Dixie Fried Chicken with your loved ones, and go to a “New Kids on the Block” concert with friends. Love always, laugh often and forgive freely.”
A celebration of Sandy's life will be held on Saturday, July 14th at 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church Windermere, 300 Main Street, Windermere, Florida 34786. A reception will immediately follow at the Winter Garden Elks Lodge #2165, 700 9th Street, Winter Garden, Florida 34787. Feel free to bring a favorite photo of Sandy to add to her memory board.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her memory to the National Kidney Foundation, https://kidneyfl.org/ or National Kidney Foundation of Florida, 1040 Woodcock Road, Suite 119, Orlando, Florida 32803. Arrangements entrusted to Collison Carey Hand Funeral Home, 1148 E. Plant Street, Winter Garden, FL 34787 407-877-6700
Cuz'n Sandy you have touched other's hearts & have been an inspiration from the day you were born until the day God took you home. We have so many memories from childhood to raising our kids together...from the shores of Florida to the mountains of WV...(those summers were the best years of our lives)!!! I miss you dearly & am grateful & proud to have you as my family. Things are different now as life keeps changing when God calls upon his angels but I know you, Mom, Grandma Ruby and the rest are watching over to help guide us here on Earth. I can't imagine how beautiful Heaven is, although I've tried, but I am sure it is even more beautiful now with you there. Always loved & never gotten. Love, cousin Melissa, Isaiah, & Isabella 💞💖💚

My dear sweet friend. I had so many fun days working along side of you at olde dixie chicken for over 10 years. You always had a smile on your face and a heart as big as the moon girl. Our memories together are forever in my heart. Rest easy now and be an angel watching over your children. Always Dawn Mitchell.
Rest in peace, you fought the fight, now rest in God's glory.

It takes a little darkness for us to see the stars, and a whole lifetime to reach them. Don't give up.
