To my uncle Jim, my rock, my boulder, so many other titles besides just being an uncle that you where to me! I will always cherish all the great memories you have left me with from all the way in Arkansas on the white river to being on the ST.Johns river in FL and you being the co captain of the boat. There is always one thing that you left me with that I will live by word for word quote from Jim Lay “Mavrick boy you need to get up every morning put a smile on your face and look into the mirror and say to yourself you’re a Lay boy you can do anything!” That’s just the kind of confidence that my uncle had that no matter what it might be that it can happen and that it will get done. Uncle Jim I love and miss you so so so very much already...

My condolences go out to the family for your loss of a very special person. May beautiful memories that you shared always be precious moments. May the resurrection hope (John 5:28-29 and Rev 21:3-5) sustain the family and all those who are crushed at heart to look for the time when no more will we have to experience our enemy "death" again.
Daddy, in my heart are many memories of all the loving things you’ve done and today I want to tell you that I am thankful for each one.
